I dance because of my interest in the little things. I am intrigued by the twirl of a finger, the pop of a heel, the direction of the eyes, the flex of a muscle. All these things, though are small, can come together to bring a very powerful dance. It is the movements of the little things that keep me focused on exploration. How small can something be before it is too small? I have always thought that my interest in the little things is strange. Normally people are amazed by big jumps, how high your leg can go, how many turns you can do. People are normally drawn to big movement. That is why I like the little things. It challenges me to continue to push my creativity. This continues my interest in dance. I dance because there is always something new to experience and always a challenge waiting there for me.
